Leo closed his eyes and grit his teeth as bullets tore through him. Not a pleasant sensation, but a familiar one.

But it felt good to be protecting people instead of killing them. The pretty socialite. The uncertain clone. The corporate... well, actually, he didn't care about Elizabeth, except for the trouble he'd be in if she died. Rising up, he fired with both guns at the evil henchman, before crouching again, trying not to bleed too heavily.

It was a fluid movement. The gun was immediately dropped. Then in an instant, the sledgehammer, the weapon favored by those that hate bioroids, now used by a bioroid of war.

Roger would absolutely not stop. Even as he was shot, and the hand cannon tore open into the helmet of his armor, ripping the synthflesh of his face and cracked a cybereye to reveal the red glow beneath.

One motion, one strike. One perfect moment.

It was a lesson programmed into all models od the ROGER line. Normally thought of with blades, Roger translated it to the sledge. He took a moment as he approached, assessing his target. Everything seemed to slow down, before the maul slammed into Gregor's head, sending him down to the ground with the critical hit.

Gregor Logan

"Ack!" was a sound that came from Gregor but it could have very likely been the sound of his skull cracking instead. He stood for a moment even after taking the strike from the hammer, dead on his feet as he looked at Roger with eyes that had no life in them. Gregor would slump down to his knees with his head tilted on the ground. However, as he did so, Roger would notice that he pulled the cord to a satchel charge strapped to his vest and there was an ominous red blinking like that would pulse faster and faster.

Story point spent!

Everyone within short range will take blast damage next round on what would be Gregor's turn!


Teodora Darius

Gregor was dead but Teodora was very intent on finishing the job. She hissed in pain at the lucky bullet she took from Elizabeth and raise her rifle to take another quick shot at the executive. Unfortunately, her bullets went stray and only ricochet on the hopper and cut down some vegetation in her line of sight. While it wouldn't do good for her now, perhaps it could help her drone later on. Her BMI feed the drone continuing orders as her last transmission.

She decided to change her mind later on regarding his mission and quickly hopped down the tower, snagging a few tree branches along the way on her way down. Earth's gravity was rather punishing and she fell faster than she would have liked but made it to the ground without issue. She would descend down to a bike that was waiting for her.

The drone continued its assault on the crowd below, just inching slightly as it swayed in the air to make quick calculations as it centred its aim on the intended target before letting out a liberal stream of bullets from its mounted gun.

"Do the thing, you do!" She continued to encourage people with a clamp of her hand as if to say 'chop, chop' on the matter.

She blinked when noticed something ominous in the jungle and pointed out the obvious blinking coming from Gregor's corpse. "Hey! There's something blinking!"

It seemed like a good time to get a better spot for cover, maybe away from the windows of the hopper...

Elizabeth groaned as she strained herself to stand back up after that embarrassing shot. It was good that she hit but this was something she left to the professionals and the 'contractors' for a very good reason. Upon hearing Diana's warning, she made her way back to cover after getting to her feet.

"You better haul ass!" Debra would call at the people standing in short range of Gregor's corpse, being Roger and Jane at least.

That drone had honestly been a thorn at their side for far too long! Someone would do something about it and she took it upon herself to fire a few laser shots, in lieu of having a swatter big enough to knock it from the skill. However, it seemed that her hot shot streak ran out and she...managed to send the drone spinning backwards at it attempted to dodge the laser shots.

Peeking out through the cars back window, with her rig handy and connected from skulljack to net wirelessly. She'd been struggling to get a bead on the towers access for quite some time but finally with a few deftly maneuvered thoughts she got through. Once she'd gained access it was a quick method of rooting through the very programs she was practiced in as a sysop toward cutting out a particular signal. Didn't have to spend too much time tracing out where the drone was connecting from, after all.

As she finished, she saw the rest running back toward her and took the opportunity to flatten herself against the vehicles leather to get a little bit more protection from anything that might be flying about.

Heavily wounded, and wanting to get farther from the explosion and angry drone, and closer to his various charges, Leo moved back towards their damaged vehicle, keeping to cover as he went.

Nadia was successful in hacking into the communication tower's connection, which Teodora was using as a tether to boost her connection. The drone is put in standby mode as it awaits the user to reestablished the RedTooth connection.

Meanwhile, the user was on her all-terrain bike and immediately put the pedal to the metal as she roared away to make her escape from the sweltering jungles of La Costa. Hopefully, the bomb will do the trick but she didn't have high hopes on that. It would at least cover her escape.

The very obvious bomb would blink away to its final seconds but with everyone still standing, they would easily make their escape from the blast radius before they could be in danger. The explosion would clear a great deal of forest while sending monofilament shrapnel slicing everything around it with a frightening effect but ultimately the survivors are spared of further wounds. Maybe Gregor should have gotten a bomb that didn't have an obvious trigger light.

Despite her brush with death, Elizabeth Mills would never get so sentimental to say that she owed them her life, especially when they were all far below her pay grade. However, she will offer some measure some gratitude in thanks for their aid.
