Day 4 [LM] Perusing After Perez (Closed)

Hm, maybe there was something else she could find here? Move in. Stop. No, pull out and track right. Stop. Centre and pull back. Stop. While the security cameras here weren't exactly of NAPD lab capabilities, they could at least pull rudimentary zoom and enhance. Thankfully, the perpetrator wasn't in some obscure angle that would require some sort of software to reconstruct the likeness based on light, shadows, and unlikely probability.

No, this was very simple. It was the front glass of the hopper. It took a matter of just slowing down the driving speed. As a horrific side-effect, Jane got to see the horrified face of the executive before he was mulched down by automatic gunfire, it looked like one of machine gun calibre. Focusing on the glass and enhancing the reflection enough with just the sharpness tool, she could see something that almost looked like a plane? No, it was very close and small enough in the frame to keep a controlled flight with a low profile. This was a combat drone.

A slight grimace.
"You were, by pretty much all accounts, just a terrible person Perez, but that's a bad way to go."
She chews her tongue unconsciously at the sight of the reflected combat drone.
"Hang on...."

From what Jane could discern of the drone, it wasn't of this world, literally. She had seen this sort before as a Loonie, especially when it came to the history lessons and hard knocks from what the veterans had shared of her, as well as the few tales of glory. The drone looked like the same sort of make that the Martians had shipped over to the Loonies in small quantities, mostly some of the reversed engineering or sometimes even hacked variations of a Weyland Consortium attack drone. There were many variations but it was easy to tell that this was perhaps more built for an atmosphere on Mars than one of Earth but they all fly just as well.

The evidence didn't look in the Lunar Defence angle, but it made it a hell of a lot more likely. Of course, if this had been terrorism then why had nobody gone public with the killing? Odds are there was another angle to all this.

With a satisfied sound Jane spends a few moments resetting the security system and copy the video of the assassination if she can, before discretely heading back out.

Jane would easily be able to get a copy of the video, either transferred to her PAD or even on a hard chip if she wanted. There were a few laid about that were labelled 'Thanksgiving Party '85', 'Steve's Fails', and 'Kitten videos', just to name a few. After that was collected, she could easily make her escape through one of the back exits that specifically didn't have 'opening this door will sound the alarm' on it.

Jane almost snagged the kitten videos but decides Gayle probably needs them more. And after a few moments she's quickly out the door and blending into the busy streets with no dress sellers the wiser.
