"Ooooo I'd love to do that. Or game full time, but nah I work for Jinteki."

He tapped his head where the top of the line wireless skulljack was installed.

"Sysops at corp HQ. Except I'm seconded to the Mayor at present."

He looked around to see if he could remember where he'd left his drink.

Thorn found himself raising his brows at the mention of the Megacorportion, perhaps a bit caught off-guard that Ven was a corporate type. He swept his hair back and chuckled. "Oohh, I was waaay off on that...I see, that's pretty cool. Wow, you don't look like the type at all. I guess the pay must be pretty good, huh? Do you get discounts on mods too and everything? There's actually a pretty big Jinteki community here too, most of them are over by that bamboo village."

Ven grinned and maybe bounced a little.

"Pays good but I like to buy expensive things and do expensive things, but being Jinteki is more than just money. I mean only a week or two ago I got Rawr!"

Belatedly realising that told Thorn nothing.

"Oh he's my teacup tiger pet. Such a cutey. Back down the Beanstalk though in pet daycare. Couldn't bring him up no matter how much I wanted to."

"Whoa, no way, you get a teacup tiger just for being part of Jinteki?!" That clearly impressed him, even if he wasn't thinking of getting such a high-maintenance pet himself. "Yeah, not too many pets up here, they tend to get a bit bonkers around here. Hey, if I knew the pay was going to be that good, I might have tried harder in school or something. Clearly, the company is good too. I thought it was all elderly people and suit samurai or something, and you're neither of those, clearly!"

"There's a lot of who you know and what you do for them."

He grinned again, ears twitching.

"And I know a lot of things I can do. That's why I'm the youngest senior sysops in the corp!"

"Climbing the corporate ladder and stuff. The youngest senior, heh, kind of sounds strange but I'll take your word for it. So, does that mean that maybe you can put in a good word for someone like me, potentially?" He grinned with a shrug, half-serious about his pitch. "I don't know if I have much resume, I've never been all that good at them but I can that I'm pretty strong and I'm good with my hands somewhat. Any sort of jobs in cushy corporate out there for someone like me?"

Ven chewed on his bottom lip, little fangs showing as he wondered.

"Well I don't have much to do with HR. Unless their PADs go down and I have to fix them. I'm sure we have all kinds of jobs. In the HQ and the gardens and the zoo even. I'm sure I could put in a good word for such a handsome guy!"

He wiggled around a bit getting even more comfortable in Thorn's lap.

Thorn found himself blushing a little before giving a shrug of his shoulders. "Hah, just shooting my shot, I guess. They say that you should aim for the moon but considering that I'm here already, I guess my next ticket could be a star somewhere." He smirked as he put an arm on Ven's back and leg as he moved, maybe just making sure that he didn't slip off his lap by accident.

"But enough about work...well, except the part of my work around here is helping people here have some fun time to time." He gave him a wink at that as he leaned slightly. "If you're not having enough of it yet, let me know and I'll sort things out."
