The 'morning' hours were a rather strange place for Wyldside as it was likely the only time where the club saw any sort of peace between the wild parties that lasted all night long and the beginnings of one in the afternoon. There was certainly a bit of clean-up to do with the night staff slipping out and the day staff seeing all of the things they had to deal with.


Bree

Bree was among the staff here as she wheeled a cart full of various bottles and kegs from the back to replenish the bar while most of the other staff were cleaning and mopping the place up.

Di let out a sigh as she entered. A familiar haunt. She looked...surprisingly refreshed.

"Hey guys, how's it going?"

Bree

Bree's cat ears perked slightly when she sensed Diana and would smile softly at her presence. Diana would know that Bree was the most recent owner of Wyldside. It seemed as of late, the club saw a lot of change in ownership before it ultimately went onto the hands of Bree, who was a past employee herself. "Oh, good morning, Di. You're pretty early, we're just setting up for another evening...but you're more than welcome to join me at the bar. Is there anything I can get for you?"

"Oh, who can resist that kind of invitation?" She winked at the cat girl. "Nyah!" She added playfully.

"Figure I'd stop by, now that I'm all responsible and all that jazz." She followed Bree gladly. "How's biz?"

Bree

Despite being a cat-girl, Bree's 'nyah-ness' wasn't that high compared to other catgirls, she was more subdued than anything. However, she did humour Diana and struck a pose, curling her hands in paws and swished her tail a little.

She dropped a pose with a chuckle and lead her toward the bar, wheeling her haul of alcohol to the bar. When there, she gave a keen inspection of the counter before giving it a quick wipe and gestured to the spot for Diana to sit down. She raised a brow at her. "You've been away for a while, so I figured it was something important...but I don't really much have an idea why, what's this about responsibility now? Did you end up with your own business or start your own subsidiary? A department store?"

"The usual?" She asked curiously as she pulled out a glass. "Business is pretty good, I'd say. We could always use more people, even if that means a broken table or two. I'm still waiting for this flood of people we're supposed to be getting from Earth, the city says. Some people are saying a lot of people are fleeing the Docklands, moving out to some asteroid or space station, or something."

"You know me so well there." Di replied with a smile and yet another wink.

"Well...I'm on a committee actually. For expanding Heinlein and improving things and yadda yadda. That's official speak, by the way. Yadda yadda."

A chuckle escaped.

"The mayor's big plan. It's been...fun. Except the one time I was shot at. Most other times it was pretty fun actually! I think we're going to get an amusement park here. That would be cool."

Bree

Bree chuckled at the wink and go to preparing her drink, fetching a few bottles and putting various mixes into a golden shaker. She worked the bar here for a few years before taking ownership of the club and she hadn't lost her touch when it came to her skills.

"Oh, that's right. I think I might have remembered something about that. That would explain where you've been off to for a while. Probably taking several days going back and forth from Earth. And, getting shot at, that's no fun. It does sound interesting and I hope the perks are worth your trouble at least." She smirked. "Earth has always been pretty crazy. At least here, people won't shoot at you without fear of blowing themselves out too. And can you even fit an amusement park on Luna?"

"Alright, one nebula for Miss. Harper-Zhao," she grinned as she knocked the shaker on the glass, allowing the contents to slowly roll out with the lower gravity on Luna. Once that was done, she would serve her a blue-purple-pink cocktail drink with an umbrella and some frozen fruits. Umbrellas, those were Earth domes, right?
"On the house, of course."

"Youuuuu're my faaaaavorite." She drawled out as she extended her hand for her drink, her eyes following the slow roll of ingredients. "True, no shooting. Though I'd be wary of blades and clubs. At least...I think that's what people do here?" She shrugged.

"Oh, I'm sure we can fit it somewhere. Where there's a will there's a way." She took a deep sip, closing her eyes, enjoying the taste go through her.

"Anything interesting going on here?"

Bree

Bree chuckled, likely on an anxious note. "That isn't to say that there isn't any fighting on Luna. We've had to kick a few people out before, sometimes call the cops. Guns are sometimes a thing, people just get angry enough to blow their own airlock."

"Heh, if you say so," she said with a glance around before looking at Diana with a sheepish smile, unsure how it would be possible for herself. "Maybe, if you have the rollercoaster go underground instead of in the air but hey, maybe some tourists will find it fun to be launched into space that way."

"While you're having fun on Earth, things have been quiet here. Well, except over at the Docklands, they say that Waller is doing some rab..."



Before Bree could finish her sentence, Diana would be joined some company at the seat beside her. It was a man dressed in enough black and leathers to be considered 'edgy' while having his share of feral features, perhaps spliced with some wolf G-Mods. He leered at Diana without much consideration, going so far as leaning into her to sniff her.

"You stink," he would tell her with a rough growl in his few words.

Di looked at the newcomer.

"And you're ugly." She replied, before turning back to Bree.

"Oh, I'm sure they'll think of something creative. So...you're letting anyone in these days?" She talked while ignoring the man next to her.

Damon

The man snarled back at Diana. "Tall talk from someone who smells like plastic and teacup pet treats!"


Bree

Bree stood idly to watch the quick exchange happen and she looked rather uncomfortable with the man around, even if he did appear to be a fellow Wylder. Before it could escalate any further, she mustered some nerve to speak up. "...Damon, STOP! What are you doing here, what do you want?"


Damon

It almost looked like Damon was going to growl more at Diana but turned to face Bree. "I'm here for my credits."


Bree

Bree looked rather exasperated by the request, her cat ears flattened slightly as she glared back at Damon. "...I already paid you!"


Damon

"Oh, not paying up? We know you have the credits and plenty of it...unless you want me to take from your friend here instead..." He said before turning his attention to Diana, very much getting inside of her personal bubble even by Loonie standards.

Diana raised an eyebrow, and turned up her nose.

"Nah. I think you smell." She poked at his chest. "What, can't get enough?" She shook her head. "She said she paid you. What, can't count? Need help fluffy?"

Damon growled more at the pokes. "I know you won't be able to count after I break all of those little pretty fingers!"

"Okay, okay, sheesh. No need to take it that far." Diana liked her pretty, well manicured fingers.

Bree

Upon realizing that Damon hadn't caved to Diana's counter and was likely going to continue harassing them, she found herself caving to his demands. Brew threw up her hands as she was short on options and it was bound to get uglier if she called security. She took out her PAD and with a few flicks of her fingers, she produced something around 3.000 credits from her account and the device projected a command for Damon to accept the transfer.

"Here, just take it," she said with some clear defeated annoyance.


Damon

Damon would accept the transfer and look to Bree. "That's only some of it but enough for now. It's going to be either the rest or the club next time..."

With those very ominous words, Damon stalked off and left the club...

Di shivered as the "man" left.

"Sheesh. Sorry. Who is that jerk?"

Bree

With the situation addressed, for now, Bree's cat ears were less tensed. She let out a deep sigh and ran a hand through her hair. That was an embarrassing situation, to say the least. "No, I'm the one who should be sorry. You didn't need to see that. I didn't mean to ruin your morning with that nasty business...That was Damon, he's part of Cassius' gang. They've been trying to get the club from me and I've been paying to keep them away."

"Thanks, Di..." she said with a few small nods, trying to get herself to be optimistic once more. It was admittedly hard at the moment. "It's no secret that this place has changed a lot of hands over the years but I am hoping to hold on to it for a while, if I could help it, and that's not even counting the years I managed the place before that. They were always a bad bunch and we kicked them out to the Docklands. But they found themselves back here ever since they got kicked out by the mayor's plans and all of this trouble started."

"Ugh." She sighed. "Maybe they could be driven off....I assume just throwing money at them won't help much?" She quirked a neyebrow.

"I definitely want to see this place under your care. Speaking of which...tomorrow I might bring some colleagues over for a nice lunar welcome."

She slammed the rest of her drink down. "Now, let's discuss what we can do about this Cassius dude and his cronies."
