
Thanks to its American football team drive, the mayor's office had been flooded with various bids to earn the coveted contract to become New Angeles's next football team. Despite the plethora of good ideas and ambitious bids, there can only be one football team to gain this honour. In order to make a decision of which team to elect, an eliminator-style tournament will be held and only one team will emerge victorious to claim this honour (and its lucrative deal).
Each committee member may enter their team in this tournament and compete to take the top spot. American football is a chaotic sport and adding the element of Luna's low-gravity can make for some rather outlandish plays on the field. Whether this is an obstacle or an advantage would be entirely up to each individual team and their respective coaches.
Build a Team
Each team has been put through intense training in the last few weeks, both in virtual simulation and in-person on Heinlein. Despite all the vigorous exercises and practice, the truest test is the field itself. Will their preparations pay off? They will only get one chance to prove themselves worthy.
All Characteristics of the team start at 2 and each coach will have 4 points granted to them to distribute as they see fit. Please note that this event will only use Presence, Agility, Willpower and Brawn.
The team starts with no skills and the coach will have 8 points to distribute to the following skills: Charm (Presence), Stealth (Agility), Vigilance (Willpower), Resilience (Brawn), Athletics (Brawn), Brawl (Brawn), Ranged-Light (Agility) and Coordination (Agility).
Please note that your successful rolls from [Day 4] Agenda Event: New Angeles's Next Sports Team might contribute further points to your team.
Mascot Showtime
Each game begins with the mascot ushering the football team into the stadium, performing their entertainment routine. This could take form in a number of ways, often dancing and putting on a flashy performance. Of course, this could also include hanging out with the crowds and amusing them or heckling the opposing mascot. Sometimes, the mascots fighting becomes the highlight of the game.
Using the characteristics and skills of the team, the team makes a skill check using Charm (Presence) at Average Difficulty (◆◆). On success, the team gets a morale boost, that grants them one Boost die (+■) per success rolled here for the rest of the game.
Each 2 Advantage rolled generates 1 Boost Die and Each 2 Threat rolled generates 1 Setback Die. On Triumph, upgrades the next roll. On Despair, the opposing roll is upgraded instead. All of these conditions must be applied on one roll during football, the player's choice.
Low-G (American) Football
Once both teams are gathered, the face-off in a short round of games. The pressure is on for each team to remain in the running as they are eliminated after each game, narrowing it down to a few before one team will be ultimately chosen to be New Angeles's Next American Football team!
The low gravity on Luna makes the game of football extraordinary, allowing players to leap tall bounds and make some rather extraordinary plays and dynamic strategies. For the purposes of the game and to emulate the wild action, all rolls will be treated as if they are all affected by the low gravity and each roll will be granted three Boost Dice (+■ ■ ■). However, the opposing team also has the same advantages and each roll will also have three Setback Dice (+■ ■ ■). These are already listed below as a reminder.
Players start on the offence then roll as if they are the defence.

Scoring
At the conclusion of the event, the team that rolled the most successes will be considered the winner!
Ties are broken by the most rolls succeeded then the most Triumphs earned, then by most advantages rolled overall.
The sole winner will have their team officially inducted into the league and become New Angeles's third American Football Team! They are granted 1000 Credits in earnings and 2 Funding Points. This will become relevant near the end of the game.
