[Day 8 - Early Morning] Door to Door

It had been several more hours since Nadia Avaline had gone missing and naturally, Elizabeth would have the prisec troops from Argus Security out on the lookout for her valued asset. Chief Slee would be marching up and down the district with a few of her troops, dressed in body armour and equipped with their rifles. While an impressive show of effort and force, this was something that wasn't taken very well with the locals as Slee moved about the sublevels and asserting her place to search where she could. Who was supposed to be in charge here? The Government and the NAPD or the megacorportations? The Loonies would at least agree that the latter was the greater of both evils here.

Leo would be there, dark circles under his eyes, lines on his face, and stimulants in his blood.
"Detective." He half-said, half-growled, his long stride taking him quickly over to Debra. "Anything yet?" Leo was dressed in slightly rumpled suit, as usual, the collar loose.

Well, if she thought she looked bad, she supposed she could aspiring for worst when she saw Leo and his rumpled suit. However, she did cut the snideness aside, considering that they were stuck doing the same job more or less.
"Nope, who a whole lot of nothing at the moment. I don't think the locals exactly enthuse about helping us. I got called a few names and I think a few calls went out to the NAPD already. We can keep doing what we're doing but at some point, the NAPD is going to be able to stop us. I don't know if that's before or after these Loonies start rioting on us. I got a shot for each of them if they think about trying." She smirked.

Leo was silent for a few moments, frowning.
"Nothing at the site her PAD was found?" Leo asked suddenly, still frowning. "Hmmm. If she was taken by someone, I wonder if they took the train. Either the one just before, or just after it was smashed."
Unless it was a trick of some sort... no. If what Slee was saying was true, they didn't have time to be wrong. Hopefully they wouldn't be.

"Right after the call, we got searching the tunnels," she said with a hint of irritability, considering she came up empty-handed for her efforts. "We had to pull a few strings and said some old exec with dementia ended up wandering the tunnels. They shut down the metro line for a few hours just for us to give the place a search. Nothing! So, I guess I've done my share of pissing off people already. We don't exactly have a sysop in-house to go over multiple cameras at once right now, that was Nadia's job. The metro goes all over Heinlein, the Docklands...the Starport...it's going to take a while. But I do have my people on it right now...the city is really tired already seeing our mugs breathing down their neck. It's only..."
CLANK! There was a wrench that landed right at Leo's feet before Debra could finish her sentence. She might have been the intended target and she raised her rifle up to the direction of the wrench.
"FUCK OFF, Corporate pigs! Get the fuck out here!" A rough-looking man would call out at them from an upper-level walk. "Go back to Earth, we don't want you here!"

Leo looked down at the wrench, then up at the thrower. "Hey! We're trying to find a missing girl!" He half-growled, half-yelled up at him. It was pretty much like his introduction to Slee, but louder.
Leo grunted. "Huh. One of the people on the project might fit the bill. Could you get someone access to those cameras? But she's not Weyland. Haas. Wonder if that might cause trouble..." Leo grimaced. "Not like it could get much worse."

"Hey now, Leo's...well he's not a ba....he's here trying to do the right thing."
A slender woman approaches from behind the man, coming from somewhere there definitely hadn't been a woman before.

"And I do share your view on corpos, pigs and earthers. But Ms Slee is actually a pretty good shot so I wouldn't encourage her."

"Oh yeah? Well, I don't give a fuuuck!" The man would call out at Leo. While not an Earther, he might have some ancestry in New York to be rather competent in a streetside yelling match and project his vulgarity so well.
It seemed like he was just about to reach for another metal something in his coat when he was caught off-guard by the approaching woman. He gave a bewildered blink at her but relented from continuing, taking a few steps back defensively.
On the ground, was perhaps a different matter. Either the man had incited something from the crowd or they were planning to do this anyway, there was a quiet that found its way on the street as a few Loonies emerged from the crowd and they seemed rather fearless to the prospect of getting shot up by a few heavily armed corporate guards...

"Ah, well...If you call for help, call for help." She said under her breath, although it was ambiguous if she mean his contact or their current situation as she found herself taking a step back. Her fellow guards, two others in total would form up in a defensive circle. They weren't pointing their guns at anyone anymore but they certainly had their hands on them at the ready.

"Uh... do I know you, ma'am?" Leo asked the newcomer. The newcomer who seemed to be backing him up anyway. "But you're right. We're not looking for trouble."
He cleared his throat, looking at Slee. "Yeah. Maybe we should do that. And slowly back away. Seems like we're not making many friends here." His eyes flickered as he called up his PAD internally, composing a message to Priya:
I need a favor
this is Leo btw

"Yeah, like how?" Slee would say with a glare given at Leo, as well as every direction as it almost seemed like every Loonie on the street and their nephews were emerging from their rather lousy habitats to either get a look or join in on the uprising. "You want me to lay suppressing fire while we make a tactical retreat?"
She was joking on the matter. Okay, maybe not.

Priya would answer soon enough, it did help to have your PAD linked to your eyes at all times.
A favour? It's a bit of a strange way to call someone up. How can I help you?

As the air was getting tenser, and it was because someone forgot to change the filters on this level, a prominent figure would emerge from the trio that seemed rather intent to take a stance. As a local, Jane might recognize the man as Andrew Waller, who heads the scraps and parts shop in the Docklands. He was in his early 50's with a rather broadly built form that could only be thanks to some supplement and G-mod on a Loonie physique.
Andrew Waller
He stepped up toward Debra, leading his trio as he walked. His tone was rather gravelly but did have some presence to it. "You can think about pointing that gun all you want but in this area, you'll be lucky if they ever find your corpse. You're a very long way from help here."

Leo coughed softly.
Sorry
Someone grabbed a friend of mine. At least one woman, I think. Probably either grabbed her on a train or at the station. If I got you access and description could scan the footage? Maybe use one of those network bioroids you told me about?
But, unfortunately, that was only one of the problems. Leo turned to face the older man approaching them. "All we want is to find this girl and get outta here. We don't want to hurt anyone. I definitely don't want to kill someone just because they're on the wrong side of some line." That's right, he killed people for
money.

So... one of the people from the committee was apparently missing - a clone at that. And some sort of underground Android market, apparently in the lower sublevels of the Dome. It wasn't much to go with, but it was something at least.
There were some contacts #19 might tap for some information, but they decided to do at least one first field inspection up front by themselves.
Not long after they got to the lower levels, their hearing sensors caught... something. Raised voices. Some tension.
The bioroid in full NAG uniform was soon in the scene as well. Seeing the older, broad-shouldered Loonie besides a gathering crowd of other locals staring towards some committee members they remembered relatively well from previous... and a woman they didn't quite know that seemed to be trying to calm things down.
For now, they tried to not call much attention (was that even possible for a bioroid with glowing eyes and braided silver hair?). The rugged man from the committee - Leo, right? - was apparently trying to calm things down as well. Good.
It was possible finding the clone girl (Nadia, then? Probably Nadia. Both Leo and that PriSec woman from the Committee were Weyland-related, if they remembered well... must be Nadia) would not be the only thing to do there... but one thing at a time, right?

Priya was thankfully a quick replier. Those years of micromanaging really coming into play here.

I could easily go into detail on how that's not exactly how my

bioroids work...
However, that's something I can probably do with the

NAPD's help on the matter. Sure, I can look into that for you.

"I'd say between from several hours ago to now, you've already done your searching. Look, we get this is the excuse that you're giving us." He said with a glance around the corridor (or what would be considered a street in Loonie definition). There were a few nods giving his direction as a few fell in agreement. "You've done enough rustling around here already. You're done. I don't control or command anyone around here but I know you're going to get something worst than a wrench if you keep this up."

Okay, good enough. "Priya Khatri can check the camera data." Leo said shortly to Slee. "Send everything to her." He frowned, considering...
Thanks. I'll owe you one
Oh, one more thing. If you do find something, try to let me know before them
Slee seemed like a good sort... but he had a bad feeling about this. This investigation drew a lot of heat, and quickly. Maybe someone was trying to cause trouble.
Leo looked at Slee, Lina, the other woman, the apparent community leader. This was quite the part. "Maybe we should be going, then." He said. He turned towards Andrew. "But if anyone knows anything, they should call in a tip. I'm serious about finding this girl. Dead serious." Leo's expression was tight, the lines on his face standing out.

Priya would give a reply back from the request.

Don't worry. I had a feeling that this was private.

Andrew Waller
"Absolutely, we sure will," he inclined his head once on the matter but didn't even bother to sound very sincere. There might have been that small smirk of victory when Leo decided to relent from his search.
"Let them pass." He said, addressing the people in the crowd in his employ. Some of the crowds followed with the request and others, realizing that the show was over, just merely return to their lives. They only offered some momentary glares but seeing as much of the air nod been defused in the situation, perhaps realized it wasn't so much worth the trouble anymore.
Even the wretch-thrower decided to leave. Lightning might have to strike twice for him to get away with throwing two wretches at a cadre of armed corpos in one day.
