Before the expo closes out for the night, and Elizabeth might come looking for her. Nadia manages to slip away from the fanfare around the event. Finding herself a heavy sweater that she wears over her suit with the hood pulled up over a ballcap that is also worn on her head. Moving through the streets she finally manages her way to the arcade. Lights of the arcade, big and showy, exchanged for the dim atmosphere amid the colorful lights of the many games lining the walls and floor. Working her way through the assortments offered she makes her way back to one of the archaic cabinets. Though the one's requiring her brain interface often attracted her attention, there was a particular archaic game in the far back corner that always drew her attention.
Though she didn't know it's name as it'd been long scratched away she stood in front of it for near a minute, just feeling the machine before she set herself up to play.

There's the sound of someone approaching
"Oh man, retro. Way before my time. Cool choice though."

Some kid appeared to be peering over Nadia's shoulder at the machine.

Nadia was mostly focused on the game in front of her, enough so that the appearance of someone behind her gave her a jump. Messing up in the moment she has to take a second to breathe out and calm herself.
"Thanks," she says, somewhat awkwardly as her attention remains forward.

"Don't see a lot of people playing the really old arcade games. Is this like a hobby for you?"

Nadia's silent for a moment, looking down at the game her nose just comes past the hood. Various clicking sounds as the sticks mash forward, to the side, she wasn't very good at it overall.
"Hobby," she pauses for a moment, her hands stop. Shrugging she continues, "Yeah, it's a hobby," she says, her tone unintentionally shifting closer to Debra Slee's as she tries to mimic her way of speech a bit. "I like this old games, they're.. interesting."

"But like, why? The newer ones got better graphics, better controls, better sounds."
They cock their head
"Aren't they just better?"

Nadia's slow with her responses, focusing on what's in front of her. As she plays the fact she isn't very good at these old school games gets more and more apparent. Despite this though she doesn't seem to enjoy the experience any less.
"I don't know," she says. "They're different? Different is interesting."

"I mean...I guess."
The kid didn't sound convinced
"Is it like, multiplayer?"

"Not this one. Why do you ask?" she says, there's a strange wonder and detachment to her words. Looking over her shoulder now hat pulled down a bit so the brim of it covered some of the top of her head underneath the hood but she seemed an average enough young woman underneath. Certainly less inviting to having people looking at her than most but perhaps that wasn't so strange here.

"Just curious, I guess. I mean, maybe it could be kinda fun?"
Shrugging

Nadia pauses for a moment, uncertain. Taking a few awkward seconds to parse out a response she eventually went with, "Did you want to play a game together?" in an uncertain, prudent tone.

"Sure! I mean, if you wanna. I don't really come to a lot of arcades so I figure you know what's good, right?"

"I.. don't know. I have enjoyed most things I play here. You would have a better chance deciding on what you will like," she says, letting her hands slip down the too large sweater hid her hands as she lay them at her sides. Turning to them there's the faint look of reflection from her eyes in the lights of the arcade, they're silver in hue. Otherwise she seemed young adult.
