Daphne 3A5K5Q
There was a momentary pause in the Daphne as she figured out what to do next. Ultimately, she wasn't going to fight Lenore over the cigars if that's what she was trying to procure them. Service trumped loss prevention at the very least. "You are free to take as many cigars as you wish, miss. However, we ask that you do not take the humidor as that is property of the Barre Civic Centre and its catering contractors."
Jeeves 4N9P1Q
However, it seemed only a matter of time that Lenore would be joined by another service bioroid, this one serving her sidecar cocktail on a tray. The Jeeves model spoke with a faux-British accent as she presented her drink. "Excuse me madam, one sidecar, as you've requested."
Lenore kept one hand on the humidor, tilting her head as she listened to Daphne explain the situation. The temptation remained to just snatch the whole thing away anyways but she seemed amenable to compromise.

"Fine," she said, opening up the humidor and stuffing the rest of the cigars into her pockets. Regardless of onlookers, she'd gain her prize. It wasn't like judgmental eyes ever kept her from doing her much more grim job duties.
And when the drink arrived, she held up one finger. "Just wait there. I have something to settle first."

"I believe I understand why you'd be concerned, miss Gauvreau, but NAG models come equipped with relevant data and processes to deal with human desires and wants."
Emotions? Are those emotions?
"In fact, NAG series programming ensures a lower likelihood of problems due to outbursts than usual for organics. Although I believe Jinteki must have developed something similar for their creations?" She asks.
"But on your other points - yes, the government has technicians of their own, although Haas-Bioroid consultants are used when necessary. I trust the same must be true of your company, although you'll understand I know less about that. And it is true that corps have a say in politics - but part of our directives is making sure that is limited to the rightful proceedings. I'm certain you understand the importance of
that, right?"
"Relevant data and processes," she echoed, placing her hands over the stuffed pockets. "I'm afraid some things can't be defined through sheer programming."
Talk of outbursts only brought a smile to her lips. While she could explain her opinion on it directly, she instead approached it based on another matter. "Back at school... you know what a school is, surely... I had a good friend by the name of Deborah. She had this puppy, you see. We all loved that puppy, thought the world of that puppy, and he was loyal as they could be."
She finally took the sidecar, giving Jeeves a wink. "Thing is, that loyalty went a bit too far. Another kid spooked Deborah and her dog and he gave him a nasty bite. Just one little mistake and do you know what they did to him?" As part of her dramatic pause, she downed the entire cocktail in one go. "Sorry about that. At first I wanted you to experience alcohol but then I realized that I wanted it more. Ah, but where was I? Right."
After putting down the cocktail glass, she gave a wide shrug, one of those grandiose ones. "Despite what everyone believed, poor dog got put down. Sometimes, those things just happen. Think on that for me, okay?"
