Di aat down with a buff. The restaurant wasn't her stsle, but theby where do you invite a roid to? Hopefully they serve diesel there. Or whatever bioroids take.

She plqced her smart specs down, her long manicured fingers idly drumming on the table.

The bioroid in question was not long to arrive. Their hair had been arranged in two long lateral braids which, along with a white shirt and black trousers, gave them a rather masculine look... despite the model's face.

Spotting Diana, they nodded and waved a hand in greeting. "Good afternoon, miss Harper.", they said in a pleasant, but relatively serious voice before taking a place at the table. "Uh... thanks for the invitation", they added, looking around a bit.

"Oh, Lina, love, so great of you to join. Love your hair. Come, take a seat." She waved at the seat next to her.

"So glad you could join. So..would you like to eat something?" It is at this point that Di realized she invited a robot to a restaurant. Awkward.

"Or if not....some fun conversation?" Suave save.

"Oh", the bioroid said, looking around. Was there anything they could... consume? Or use? It was unlikely...

The answer came with a smile, nonetheless. "I will be happy with the company and a chat, miss Harper. But please, do get something to eat"

They did take up the menu to take a look at it... maybe only as a programmed social response.

"Is there anything specific you wanted to talk about, miss Harper?"

Di glanced at the bioroid looking over the menu, trying to put it together somehow.

Whatever.

"Your least greasy chicken option, please, with some light chardonnay if you have some." In fact, they did not. "A beer then."

When the ordering was done, she turned back towards Lina. "Well...you see Lina, if I understand right, you work with the government?"

"Ah." The Lina model seemed to call the waiter's attention just as they were ready to leave - a bioroid wouldn't order anything after all, right?

"Do you have... alcohol? Seventy percent, if possible. Or 46. And some cotton, or something like that, maybe?"

The waiter will probably have looked at them quizzically for more than a few seconds, but they said they would... verify. That seemed to make the bioroid happy enough.

Turning back to Diana with a friendly smile, they nodded. "I do. As a NAG Mk-3 model, my specifications are mostly supervising and monitoring a variety of proceedings, political dealings, lobbying and other negotiations between the government and a variety of stakeholders."

The bioroid tilted their head sideways, and the deep slightly unnatural voice spoke again in a softer tone. "Now I think about it, I believe you haven't mentioned what you the last few times we met, miss Harper. Besides your important work in the committee, of course", they added with a smile.

"Oh, a connoisseur? I did not know bioroids consume whiskey." Or whisky. Or however it's spelled. Still, she smiled. "I assume you can't really get drunk as such?"

She placed her chin on the palm of her hands. "Political dealings and lobbying? My, the perfect opportunity then. I have a small favor to ask." She smiled once again, charmingly.

"Oh, little old me? A little of this, a little of that. I have an MBA, and daddy and mommy are adamant I start and put it to good use in arranging business deals."

"Oh?", they asked with a quizzical look of their own at Diana's words. "Oh... no, we can't.", they said, laughing silently. "I can't consume it, either! Not... normally, at least? Although I suppose if it's pure enough it wouldn't damage anything..."

It was a weird thought, and one they hadn't really considered before. But that wasn't what they were planning on doing, at any rate...

"But I was mostly planning on... cleaning." The last word was said in a lower voice, as if the bioroid was suddenly self conscious or something of the sort.

"So... business deals, then? A family business, then? And... what would that favour be, then? You do understand I must care for the correct proceedings, but if it is within my reach..."

"Ah, I see. Cleanliness was important." Wow, that was lame Di. "Oh, it's a minor thing really. A teensy, tiny little...speeding ticket." She quickly glanced away. "The speed limit app must have been malfunctioning or something."

She turned up her smile even more. "I would just appreciate any was we can handle this...correctly."

The bioroid's face as they heard Diana's answer tilted slightly to the side, looking... confused? Uncertain? It was hard to say for sure. After a while, they did give the woman a small smile.

"Oh. I assume if it was a malfunction... was it the city government's app?"

That was an odd question, but... if it was a third party app (which it likely was), they would have to double-check an obnoxiously long series of terms and conditions and disclaimers to see who would be liable if the app had acted up.

In all likelihood, the user...

"Were you on your way somewhere, miss Harper? And... has the ticket caused you undue legal trouble or expenses?"

They would have to look up the dues, but it shouldn't be that expensive, unless...

Lips tightening slightly, they held themselves from looking that up, for now. Best to see what miss Harper herself would say... right?
