[Day 0 - Early Evening] Party on the Gutenberg, Mark 3 (Party Row)

[Boogiepop]

The Gutenberg, Mark 3, is Thomas Haas' more recent prized acquisition and he isn't shy about letting New Angeles know about it with a party to christen his vessel. The modern superyacht features several decks with fully furnished accommodations to house many guests, many of the spacious rooms have long spanning windows allowing the guests to have a good view of the ocean. Despite being surrounded by water, the ship maintains three jacuzzis where guests can relax in hot water with powerful messaging jets. There is a bar found on every deck, each staffed by bioroids bartenders who have an up-to-date repertoire of drinks and the ability to adapt to some unconventional requests at a moment's notice. Despite all of these features, the yacht is questionably seaworthy but it will likely never leave the coast under Thomas' ownership, merely intended as a ristie status symbol.

It is said that the previous Gutenberg yacht went down in a fiery explosion that no credible news outlet was able to cover to this day.

The party has attracted many risties and influential figures from all around New Angeles, most particularly those who are young and good-looking. That seems to be the required theme of the party, as party attendees tend to be attractive with their g-mod alteration or flashy cybernetics. There are probably just a few who are born with their gifted appearances, although there is still a lot of flaunting made with name-brand accessories and the occasional teacup pet. Everyone and everything looks good here, including the bioroids. Thomas's pull in Haas-Bioroid is obvious and he exercises it with a gross display of power, especially using Adonis and Eve bioroids reprogrammed as servers.

The is a success, to say the least, overlooking the mayor's gala entirely. The music is played loud with live DJs from the hottest clubs in New Angeles brought in with enough refreshments and drinks being served enough to make Thomas' mother think twice about his future in the company.

A swarm of drugged up party-hard rich kids? Jane had gotten into stricter gatherings...but few as fragrant.

With a smile and a wink at the poor android assigned to help attendees board Jane jumps lightly onto the deck and glances around at the crowd moving mostly to the beat of the deafeningly loud DJs before her thoughts were rudely interrupted.
"Oh my gawd, is that the Aces jacket from Louboutin?"

A rather intoxicated looking Ristie girl steps forward to start feeling the filter of her fabric as Jane flashes a second more dashing smile at her assailant.
"Ah, oui. I 'ave bought it specially for theese trip. Thomas, he throws the best partees. How cood Iah not come? And New Angeles is always...what is the expression? Thrumming?" Quickly changing the topic "Your necklace though, it is magnifique!"
Inwardly Jane groans at the terrible French accent but the girl seems to buy it.
"Thank you! My fiancé got it for me, oh you have to meet him! He loooooves France, we spent our third anniversary there, have you heard of Marseille?"
Weakly "Oui....I have heard of Marseille. And I would love to meet your beau."

Hey, an in was an in. And at least most of the folk here were probably easier marks than at the main event.

If Eva could choose which of these parties to go to, she would've chosen the mayor's. Because it was most likely going to be calmer and less likely to require taking her outfit in to the cleaners afterwards. Though in truth if she could have chosen at all, it would have been neither, but here she was because she'd been prodded into going by seniors at work.

Wearing a modest cocktail dress compared to most of the guests here, and a drink in hand, she was currently doing her best of becoming part of the wallpaper. Including observing some outrageous attempts at French accents.

If Thomas was going to host a part in an attempt to wrangle all of the popularity to himself, of course, he was going to be in attendance. His appearance at the party was perhaps announced by an eruption of cheers from his fellow guests. He was going to show off at any opportunity he got, including merely dressing in shorts with an open short to show off his body, which he likely paid off. At first, he did wear a straw hat but quickly tossed it aside when he realized that it looked goofier and did nothing to accentuate him.

"Ah, hey! Alright! That's what I like to see!" He called out with a broad grin before raising his hand up to get everyone to simmer down a tad so he could set some ground rules for the newbies. "So yeah, if you're new. Here's my rule...everyone drinks, everyone dances, everyone parties! Let's see if we can make the news. No explosions this time!"

The yacht erupted in a round of laughter, considering that was what most people were doing already.

A good and proper employee of Jinteki and Member of the Mayor's Committee would of course have been at the Mayor's Gala Event. Which was why Ven was on the Gutenberg 3, wearing nothing but a speedo and in the biggest jacuzzi pool onboard. He technically had more clothes but they were in a pile on one of the recliners by the pool. He'd get back to those later . . . if he needed them.

Currently he had a very colourful cocktail in one hand. It had three umbrellas and a massive curly straw which he sipped on while making eyes at all the other male guests at the same time.

However, it was admittedly early in the night and that was likely bound to change when the music kept the beat and the supplies of alcohol seemed endless. A few people who might have already had too much fun or seeking fun in another form, stumbling into the ship without much direction. There was likely going to be a headache of a cleaning effort for the bioroids in the morning.

There was no shortage of male guests and male-shaped personnel, which would be some of the bioroids.



One of the bioroids, specifically a Kevin model, was on standby near the jacuzzi. Many would know the Kevin model to be an off-shoot of the Adonis model, albeit missing a few bells and whistles from the more-prized pleasure model. This one was more than happy to bring Ven whatever drinks he desired.

One of the hoppers overhead did make its way down to the docks at party row, flying right beside one of the piers to extend a walkway so that the passengers could exit the vehicle. There was one woman, dressed in a purple suit, and her bioroid. This particular bioroid was built more for function than purely aesthetics, unlike many of its kin on the ship.

Both of them would make their way toward the ship, contrasting sharply with the bodies that wore avant-garde designer outfits or whatever things that were considered a poor excuse of clothing. Priya could have been at the gala but once she heard about Thomas's antics, she had to see it for herself. How his mother could tolerate this was beyond her comprehension. Just a few days ago there was a DUI, now this?! She wasn't even supposed to be his babysitter and this was giving her a headache! However, it was a bit irksome to see her here.

Evangeline Lux, wasn't that the woman touting all about bioroid rights and such? "Miss Lux," she could call her out before finding herself needing to wade through some bodies as a few spoiled beach bums decided to make that part of the deck for dancing to that sick new beat.

When you're as successful (spoiled) as the Haas-Bioroid heir, parties were less an occasion and more of a natural occurrence. Thankfully, he was able to endure the lifestyle of partying all day, every day. When Jane approached, he did flash a broad smile at her as he adjusted his nighttime shades. "Heeey. You, I haven't seen before. You know me and who might you be?"

Thomas couldn't help but grin broadly at the compliment. He would hover closer to her and would put an arm around her shoulders, if she would allow it. "I'd say you should keep your brick. It probably happens more often than not with friends, fans, reporters...The party is just getting started and you caught me at a good time. Once we take to the seas in an hour, almost anything goes. Hold on to your mods."

He chuckled out loud on that note. Admittedly, the 'seas' were probably just as far as the ocean barrier on the coast of New Angeles. Even he wasn't so reckless enough to wade around shark-infested waters. Wasn't there a tale of some super shark that escaped a Jinteki lab?

"Funny, I'd say that getting lucky is actually a theme of the night." He very likely winked behind his shades at that. "They must have thought I was crazy to hold a party at the same time one of the largest galas ever held in New Angeles...With everyone gathered here, it would have been pretty crazy not to. So, you're on the committee, too?"

Kevin let out a small chuckle at the bit about the skate and was more than happy to take the almost empty drink from Ven, unless he wanted to finish the rest. "With large abundance of water and obstacle, I wouldn't recommend that, for your safety. However, I can get you another drink. A Sex on the Beach for you then, the drink."

With that in mind, he did turn and make his way to one of the barroids. What they have been able to and improve on with synth-skin was evident with this Kevin model! The nearby bar had a crowd of young risties that were probably calling and yelling for drinks. Some were probably so drunk already that they were yelling at the barroid to change the song, mistaking them for the DJ. Kevin was at least cool enough to wade through the chaos calmly.

Technically, she was supposed to be at the gala, but c'mon, her forte was in...less formal channels. Yeah, let's go with that.

Eva looked for a moment to Zeus as he nudged a pathway for Priya. Gaze lingering a little before focusing on Priya once more. The tone, it seemed the woman had heard something about her... and she wondered if her bioroid companion had too.

Still she maintained a respectable and polite smile, taking Priya's hand with hers and giving a gentle squeeze with the gesture. "A fellow member of the mayor's committee? A fortunate encounter then, as it seems like we'll be working together. May I be of assistance to you, ma'am?"

Jane allows it, she'd had worse arm maneuvers from better people.
"Anything goes? Oh I like the sound of that, cutting loose from that interminable corporate talk and just being alive. Sometimes I wonder why people spend decades sitting in boardrooms just to earn enough money to buy a house they don't visit and a family they disappoint."
Slight nudge to Thomas
"You don't seem like that kinda guy though. After all, you threw the 'crazy' party."
She extends a long hand and plucks a drink from a passing tray and takes a long sip, although on closer inspection most of the liquid was still in the glass.
"I did get landed on the Committee. Condemned to months of paperwork and internal bickering as everyone fights over their slice of the pie."
